About Our School School Profile
Principal's Message
Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
Welcome to John Morse Waldorf Methods School.
Our school prides itself in offering a balanced curriculum, which
includes activities of the head, hands and heart leading to the
healthy development of each child. Artistic, cognitive, and practical
lessons are integrated to nurture the strengths, potential, and
uniqueness of each child. At the heart of Waldorf education is the
conviction that it is an art. Whether the subject is math or history,
the presentation must live and speak to the child's experience.
To educate the whole child, the heart and will must be reached as
well as the mind. We invite you to learn even more about Waldorf
education by attending grade level parent meetings and individual
parent/teacher conferences.
This school website represents an attempt to provide
you with a useful reference throughout the school year. It includes
on annual calendar, important policies and procedures, school information,
forms of communication, ways to get involved, discipline guidelines,
schedules and more.
Parental involvement is a high priority as evidenced
by the numerous hours of volunteer time, attention to the physical
beauty of the school, and general parental support at John Morse.
We consider parents partners in the educational process and agree
with extensive research connecting student success with high parent
involvement. We expect you to visit our school, get involved in
school functions, and to attend parent education opportunities.
Your support of our SCRIP program and other fundraisers provide
direct funding for many projects and programs unique to our school.
The family atmosphere and attention to the whole
child are unique qualities of our school, and this year will be
no exception! John Morse has some of the finest children, staff,
and parents available in the world. We appreciate your support in
working together to bring yet another successful year of engaged
learning experiences for our students.
Respectfully,
Cheryl Eining
