Mission Statement
OUR SCHOOL MISSION is to accept children with honor and respect, educate them with love, and prepare them for lives of freedom and responsibility.

Student Dress Code

1. Students must wear shoes at all times. Sandals, which are secured to the feet at heel and toe, are acceptable: thongs are not. Shoes shall not have flashing lights or cartoon characters. Students must wear appropriate low-heeled shoes for P.E.

2. Nail polish is not allowed in grades K-6.

3. Brightly colored, bleached or distracting hairstyles are not allowed.

4. Clothing, jewelry, and body markings are not allowed which:
" Depict writing, pictures, or other insignia that are crude, profane, gang-related, sexually suggestive and/or violent.
" Advocate racial, ethnic, or religious prejudice.
" Advocate the use of drugs, tobacco, or alcohol

5. John Morse School strongly discourages cartoon figures, corporate logos, designer brand names, or other graphics. Simple colors and patterns are preferred.

6. No sagging pants are permitted. Pants and bib overalls are to be properly fastened.

7. Clothing shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times. See-through or fishnet fabrics, halter tops, off the shoulder, or low cut tops, muscle shirts, bare midriffs, and skirts or shorts shorter than extended finger tips are prohibited.

8. John Morse tee shirts are allowed.

8. No tattoos are allowed.

Consequences

  • Students who are not following the dress code will be counseled and parents will receive written notification.
  • Parents may be asked to bring appropriate clothing.
  • Students may be able to cover existing article of clothing with another.
  • Students may receive detention
  • Repeated inappropriate behavior will result in more serious consequence
