Step #1: Open a Picture of your Face in PhotoShop ~


x Open the picture of your face in PhotoShop.

x Using the Crop Tool

Step #2: Duplicate the Layer ~


x Right-click on the layer and hit Duplicate Layer

Step #3: Default Black & White ~


x Make the colors Black & White by hitting the. Color Palette. Or just hit the letter 'D' on the keyboard.

Step #4: Filters ~


x Go to: Filter > Sketch > Graphic Pen or any other filter you like.

x Or try Filter > Stylize > Find Edges or any other filter you like.

Step #5: Duplicate the Layer ~


x Click on the Add vector mask icon at the bottom of the Layers palette

x The Layer Mask appears like this:

Step #6: Gradient Tool ~


x Choose the Gradient Tool.

Step #7: Drag the Gradient ~


x Drag the pointer across the from the left to the right side of the image. It should reveal the original picture underneath the layer you're working on.

Step #8: Gradient Settings ~


x Try the other Gradient settings in the Menu bar:

x Linear Gradient, Radial Gradient, Angle Gradient, all can add interesting effects to your work.

x You can make as many duplicate layers as you need.

x Try different things!

Last Step: Save and Attach ~


x Go to: File > Save for Web & Devices & save as .jpg approximately 500 pixels wide.

Note that .jpeg is the most widely use format for web graphics.
That's because it makes the smallest file sizes so pages load quickly. Also you need to shrink the pixel width under image size.
This is also important to make web pages load quickly.

x Save as a .jpg and attach.
