15 - Transforming Text - Photoshop Tutorial

Step #1: Open Your Project in Photoshop ~
Select the Text Tool.

Type your words.

Step #2: Select your Font ~
Click the Font Family in the menubar.

Then hit the Down arrow to scroll through the fonts until you find one you like.
Thick or Bold Condensed type form works best.
Step #3: Conver to Shape ~
Highlight the text with the Text Tool:

Go to: Layer > Type > Convert to Shape.

Step #4: Transform ~
Go to: Edit > Free Transform Path or hit Ctrl+T
Hold the Ctrl key down and grab the corner...
When done, hit the check
or hit Enter.

Step #5: Duplicate the Layer ~
Right-Click on the layer and select Duplicate.

Hit Ctrl+T and right-click on the text again...

Select Flip Vertical
Step #6: Shadow ~
Adjust the the text so it looks like a shadow.
Step #7: Layer Mask ~
Click Add layer mask at the bottom and click inside the Layer mask thumbnail...

Select the Gradient Tool,


Step #8: Bevel & Emboss and Opacity ~


Last Step: Save & Attach
