District letter of May 29, 2008, regarding the addition of the Social Justice High School to our campus.

NEW SCHOOL

After 4 1/2 years, the dream is finally a reality. Classes will begin at the new school on Tuesday, February 19th, 2008.

If you are traveling by public transportation, you can take Light Rail to the Mather/Mills stop; from there you catch the number 72 bus, which will drop you off right in front of the school. The 72 leaves from Mather/Mills station at 7:24 and 7:54 a.m. and takes about 10 minutes to arrive at the school.

If you are driving, take Highway 50 east bound, and take the Bradshaw Road exit. Turn right at the top of the off-ramp; from there go 1/2 mile and turn left at the second stop light onto Old Placerville Road. Travel 1 mile and turn left again onto Routier Road. Stay on routier Road for 1/4 mile and you will see the school at the intersection of Routier Road and Systems Parkway.

We currently have several students that will need help getting to and from the new school. If you are able to bring another student, please call the school and ask for Mrs. Owens, so that she can match you with a student needing transportation.

SCHOOL SHIRTS

Please note that students are required to wear the school shirt every day. Shirts are available for purchase in the office as follows:

Tee shirts are $10.00 (up to size XL, add $1.00 for each additional "X")

Hoodies are $16.00 (up to size XL, add $1.00 for each additional "X")
