Our reading theme for the next 7 weeks is Risks and Consequences.  Students will be writing a biography of themselves.  They will also learn the routines for reading and homework.  Each day children should read 30 minutes at home.  They will keep a reading log, which will be turned in on Fridays.  Spelling will be assigned 2-3 times a week.  In addition, there will be a reading connection each week.  Please have your child read this aloud to you and discuss the questions. Tests will be given on Fridays.

In social science and science students will learn about the geography of California.  They will make models of the earth, study earthquakes, volcanoes, erosion and glaciers.  Students will also make different maps of California.
