4th Grade Behavior and Code of Conduct

Dear Parents,

Welcome to you as a parent of a child in our classroom.  We believe that your child’s progress can be enhanced if parents and teachers work together by keeping communication open.

In order to guarantee your child and all the students in our classroom the excellent learning environment they deserve, We are using the following plan.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe all students can behave appropriately in our classroom.  We will tolerate no student stopping us from teaching and/or any students from learning.

 CLASSROOM CONDUCT

1.  We follow directions the first time.

2.  We respect other people and property.

VOLUNTEERS AND VISITORS

It is the policy of this school and the district that all visitors sign in at the office and obtain a nametag prior to coming into the classroom.  You need to make prior arrangements to enter the room during teaching and learning time.  Interruptions are very distracting to the students and teachers and rob the students of opportunities to learn.  If you need to drop off shoes, lunches, homework, jackets or anything else, please drop it off in the office.  If you would like to meet with us or volunteer leave a message with the office and we will get back to you as soon as we am able to.  You will also need to be fingerprinted  at the district office in order to volunteer.

ATTENDANCE

Attendance is very important for the success of your child.  Please make sure your child arrives on time.  If your child will be late or absent due to illness or for any reason please notify the school as early as possible so that we may record it.  Keep in mind that our school loses funding with each absence no matter what the reason.

GOALS

Our aim is to make school a happy place to be.  We want to make learning interesting, exciting, and fun.  You can help by being eager and interested in what your child is learning.  Question them about school!!  Lets have a great year together.

                                          Sincerely,

                                          Mrs. Gallagher &  Mr. Holt
