Red Ribbon Week, October 26-30
Students showed their spirit and anti-drug commitment by wearing silly hats, red shirts, crazy socks, backward shirts and sneakers.

Fall Festival, October 23, 2009
Families & friends dressed in costume, enjoyed great carnival games, a haunted house, and lots of treats. A great time was had by all!

MCT directors held workshops for all our students, one for each grade level, where they learned about theatre make-up, acting, and improvisation!

The Staff/Parents won the game by 1 point in the last second of the last quarter of the game! Everyone had a little more time though so they played a 5th quarter just for fun, and the Boys and Girls team won that quarter!

Girls win championship, February 2009
Our Girls Basketball team went 16-0 in the regular season and won the SCUSD K-8 Girls Division Basketball League Championship! Congratulations!

Jump Rope Champion Assembly, September 23, 2008
Seven time world champion jump roper, Peter Nestler, gave a great demonstration of jump roping including double-dutch, glowing ropes and the use of a unicycle. His message to become great at something: "Practice hard every day."

Patriot's Day, September 11, 2008
To honor the memory of the victims of 9/11, students and staff wore red, white and blue. The National Anthem was sung over the speakers for all to hear in the morning and there was a brief assembly to remember 9/11.

 

Back To School Ice Cream Social, August 28, 2008
Families gathered in the cafeteria for an introduction by Principal Hanifen and cheerleaders got us into the school spirit with some great cheers before students and families were lead out by grade to meet their teachers and view class lists. Everyone enjoyed ice cream and live music.

Reading Celebration, June 9, 2008
Congratulations to all of our readers for reaching our goal of reading 1,200,000 pages! Students celebrated, enjoyed popcicles and "dunked" our great principal!

 

Arts Festival, May 28, 2008
Caleb families viewed students' beautiful artwork, enjoyed dinner, painted tiles for the school's tile garden, decorated shoes for Shoes of Hope, participated in open mic poetry, took mini dance lessons, and had a great time!

Cheer Clinic, January 9 & 11, 2008
Our Caleb cheerleaders held a one-day cheer clinic. 1st-3rd grade girls who signed up learned cheers and formations and performed at a Caleb basketball game!

Assemblies
Some wonderful assemblies including The Bee Lady teaching scientific facts about honeybees, Chinese Acrobats, Sac City College Theatre actors and Explor-It Science Center.

Students and their families watched Ratatouille, munched on cheesy pizza, won raffle prizes and even painted rat whiskers on their faces.

Students engaged in anti-drug and self-confidence building activities such as assemblies with Kovar's Karate and The River Cats. Students wore red bracelets all week to show support for our anti-drug commitment.

Missoula Children's Theatre School Play, October 20, 2007
Caleb Greenwood students auditioned on Monday, rehearsed all week and put on a great production of "Jack and the Beanstalk" on Saturday!

Fridays at Caleb Greenwood
Every Friday is School Spirit Day-students and staff show their spirit by wearing Cougar Wear or school colors. Also on Fridays, the Kinder-3rd grades enjoy Morning Sing in the multi-purpose room, singing songs and receiving recognition for different accomplishments.
