Brad Klopp is also a successful coach at C.K. McClatchy High School. Over the past twenty-eight years he has coached Varsity Girls Softball; Freshman, Sophomore and Varsity Football; Freshman and Sophomore Boys Basketball and is currently the Varsity Boys Basketball and Boys Golf Coach.  Some of Mr. Klopp's fondest memories and accomplishments include "The Bell Game" (formerly known as the "Turkey Game" with rival Sacramento High School), winning the bell his first season coaching varsity football and keeping the bell at McClatchy throughout his varsity football coaching tenure.  In 1989-1990, Mr. Klopp and the Lions won the metro league title for varsity football.  In 1997-1998 and 2001-2002 Mr. Klopp led the McClatchy Lions to two metro league titles for varsity boys basket-ball.  The 2001-2002 varsity boys basketball team went to the Final Four at ARCO Arena, finishing with a championship record of 25 and 6.  Due to  Mr. Klopp's successful accomplishments in coaching, he was awarded the privilege of coaching the All-Star Optimist Football Team in 1995 and coaching the All-Star Optimist Basketball Team in 2001.
