We have a computer lab at our school with 35 computers to support and reinforce our curriculum. Each computer is a Compaq d325 3Ghz computer w/512 meg ram, GeForce FX5200 LE video card, and firewire input with a broadband connection to the internet. In addition we have a school-wide network that allows us to communicate on an intranet to make it a snap to share data with one another.
The main focus of the computer lab is to provide extended and specific support to help the teachers meet the state standards in the classroom. The primary software we use to provide this support is through Compass Software. This excellent software helps us to prescriptively teach students that need assistance in specific areas of instruction.
As a secondary focus we encourage the teachers and students to use the internet as a research tool to extend the classroom curriculum beyond the classroom doors.
In addition to the yearbook, the yearbook staff is maintaining an events calendar to help keep our parents informed on all the great things happening here at Earl Warren. Just click on the link below to find out more!
