Prepare for Your Future
Florin Technology Education Center offers free classes to help students improve their English skills while also teaching them basic life skills in areas such as applying and interviewing for a job, talking to your child's teacher, money, and talking to a doctor. All students are tested and placed in an appropriate level class. Classes are offered morning, afternoon, and night. Here's the class schedule:
ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)
MULTILEVEL/CBET
These classes are for students whose first language is
other than English. A placement test will be
administered at registration to determine placement.
Students develop the language skill necessary to
allow them to function more effectively in their jobs,
families, and community. Free
M-F Ongoing 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. *
M - Th Ongoing 12:00 noon - 3:00 p.m.
M - Th Ongoing 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

About Florin Technology Center
The mission of the Florin Technology Education Center is to enrich the lives of adults and youth by providing a learning environment for academic and vocational training thereby, empowering them to become contributing and economically independent members of their communities.
The Florin Technology Education Center is a public adult school operated by the Sacramento City Unified School District. The Technology Education Center is located on the corner of 24th and Florin, on Florin Road. Free parking is available on the school grounds for all students and the center is served by Regional Transit.
