With so much of the world using computers, having good computer skills can be essential to your success and enjoyment of lift. We offer a number of classes to teach computer application skilss. The cost of the classes are usually much lower than you might pay elsewhere. Check this schedule and see if we have a class that is right for you!

INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS AND OFFICE
TECHNOLOGY/APPLICATIONS/INTERNET
Students are provided introductory instruction in
Microsoft Office software. This includes all levels of
Word, Excel, Power Point and Access. Students will have
the opportunity to practice word processing,
spreadsheets and database management.
Material fee $55
M - Th 6 weeks 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
M, W 8 weeks 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
**To continue in class for an additional session, the fee
is only $20.00

KEYBOARDING
This class is designed to teach students the keyboard
and develop speed and accuracy; it is taught on the
computer. Material fee $29
M - Th 6 weeks 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
M, W 8 weeks 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

(ESL) - SPANISH
Material fee $10
M, W 9 weeks 12:00 noon – 2:15 p.m.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE LEARNERS
(ESL) - HMONG
This class is a low literacy level course designed to
teach Hmong ESL students the very basic skills
needed to operate a computer using the applications
of MS Word, Excel and Internet. Material fee $25

UNDERSTANDING/USING TECHNOLOGY (PC)
FOR SENIORS
This class is designed for adults – 55 and older.
Students learn at their own pace. Instruction includes:
introduction to basic computer skills, use of mouse,
beginning Microsoft Word, and learning to
communicate via e-mail. Free
M - Th Ongoing 3:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.

The mission of the Florin Technology Education Center is to enrich the lives of adults and youth by providing a learning environment for academic and vocational training thereby, empowering them to become contributing and economically independent members of their communities.
The Florin Technology Education Center is a public adult school operated by the Sacramento City Unified School District. The Technology Education Center is located on the corner of 24th and Florin, on Florin Road. Free parking is available on the school grounds for all students and the center is served by Regional Transit.
