Prepare for Your Future
Florin Technology Education Center offers an OSHA certified fork lift training class every week, on you need to beomeThursday and Friday. This two day course provides you with the knowledge you need to become a certified forklift operator. You will learn all aspects of the following:
- safety requirements
- OSHA rules and regulations
- vehicle inspection and maintenance
- lifting and moving loads
- load stability
- stacking
- specific hazards
- checking controls
- operator responsibilities
- center of gravity of load
- capacity fo industrial forklift
During the hands on component, you will be lifting and maneuvering loads such as office furniture and equipment.
OSHA CERTIFIED FORKLIFT TRAINING
The Federal Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA), has now mandated that all
forklift operators receive certified, standardized forklift
training. Florin Technology Education Center is qualified
to provide this instruction. You will be issued an OSHA
CERTIFIED FORKLIFT OPERATORS CARD upon
successful completion of this course. This class is
taught over two (2) consecutive days. Material fee $30; changing to $40, effective April 1. (All charges are subject to change without prior notice.)

About Florin Technology Center
The mission of the Florin Technology Education Center is to enrich the lives of adults and youth by providing a learning environment for academic and vocational training thereby, empowering them to become contributing and economically independent members of their communities.
The Florin Technology Education Center is a public adult school operated by the Sacramento City Unified School District. The Technology Education Center is located on the corner of 24th and Florin, on Florin Road. Free parking is available on the school grounds for all students and the center is served by Regional Transit.
