Florin Technology Education Center's video and television production class includes comprehensive, up-to-date instruction in many aspects of video and television production. This 24-week course offers a hands-on environment where sutdents can learn digital video production in both the classroom and the field. Students work on a variety of projects both independently and collaboratively. Projects include production of promotional, instructional, personal biography, documentary, event, and music videos. Guest speakers and TV studio tours are included in the class. Collaborative partnerships with a variety of public and private media experts allow students the opportunity to receive a full spectrum of training aqnd work experiences. These collaborations may include internships at media stations in the Sacramento area and the creation of broadcast programs to be aired on public access television stations.

The video production program is a comprehensive
course that includes up-to-date instruction and
focuses on the many aspects of video and television
production. Students who successfully complete the
program will have the necessary skills for a career in

About Florin Technology Center
The mission of the Florin Technology Education Center is to enrich the lives of adults and youth by providing a learning environment for academic and vocational training thereby, empowering them to become contributing and economically independent members of their communities.
The Florin Technology Education Center is a public adult school operated by the Sacramento City Unified School District. The Technology Education Center is located on the corner of 24th and Florin, on Florin Road. Free parking is available on the school grounds for all students and the center is served by two Regional Transit bus lines,with quick connections to the light rail station..
