Vocational
ADVANCED AUTO ELECTRIC
In this 54-hour course students will learn about
automotive electricity, electronics, and advanced engine
diagnostics. This class allows current automotive
students or employed automotive workers to acquire
training for the ASE exam. Material fee $59 Textbook $60

AUTOMOTIVE ACCESSORY INSTALLATION
In this class students will learn to install care stereos,
speakers, equalizers, sound processors, amplifiers, power
windows and door locks, alarms, overhead lighting, DVD

AUTOMOTIVE GLASS INSTALLATION
In this class student will learn to install, repair and
replace damaged windshields; remove broken or
damaged glass; select proper windshield and examine for
defects; and repair cracked or chipped windows.

OSHA CERTIFIED FORKLIFT TRAINING
The Federal Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA), has now mandated that all
forklift operators receive certified, standardized forklift
training. Florin Technology Education Center is qualified
to provide this instruction. You will be issued an OSHA
CERTIFIED FORKLIFT OPERATORS CARD upon
successful completion of this course. This class is
taught over two (2) consecutive days. Material fee $30; $40 effective April
1.

INTRO TO VIDEO & TELEVISION PRODUCTION
The video production program is a comprehensive
course that includes up-to-date instruction and
focuses on the many aspects of video and television
production. Students who successfully complete the
program will have the necessary skills for a career in

INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS AND OFFICE
TECHNOLOGY/APPLICATIONS/INTERNET
Students are provided introductory instruction in
Microsoft Office software. This includes all levels of
Word, Excel, Power Point and Access. Students will have
the opportunity to practice word processing,
spreadsheets and database management.

GED Test Preparation: This class will enable student
to improve his/her skills in order to successfully pass
the GED battery of tests. State approved GED
practice tests are administered to serve as a predictor
