My name is Emily Catlett and I am a new counselor at Luther Burbank. I was born in Jacksonville, Florida and my dad was in the Navy so we moved frequently . I think I attended eight different schools from kindergarten to 12th grade. During the last three years of high school I was lucky to attend the same school. I graduated from Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, MD.   

In high school I was on the school newspaper staff and I played field hockey and ran indoor and outdoor track. I also rowed for Potomac Boat Club in Washington DC. When I graduated I wanted to row in college so I only applied to universities that had rowing teams and I choose the University of Wisconsin- Madison. 

When I graduated I moved to California and got a job coaching rowing at University of California- Davis. While coaching at UCD I got my masters in Educational Counseling at National University.
