Jan. 30, 2008 - Prerequisite: One year experience as an EMT or equivalent. This class is designed to prepare candidates for a career in EMT and the Fire Department. The course is 1277 hours and will take 12 months to complete. At the completion of the course the students shall have all the cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to completently perform all the skill of the EMT-Basic and EMT-Intermediate. The course is divided into three phases, didactic, clinical and field intership. Student must apply

This course is designed to prepare the student for the California Licensure exam for Manicuring and a career in nail, hand and foot care. The curriculum consists of 400 clock hours covering all phases of manicuring, salon and work ethics, and health and safety of the technician and client concurring with guidelines issued by the state. Students work on models and clients to develop practical skills, as well as receiving specialized training classes from companies that develop nail products. This class is offered in

COSMETOLOGIST
This course is designed to prepare the student for the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Licensure exam and a career in one or more of the cosmetology professions. The curriculum consists of 1600 clock hours covering all phases of cosmetology, esthetics and manicuring, concurring with guidelines issued by the state . Students work on mannequins and clients to develop practical experience utilizing safe practices in a salon setting. This class is offered in partnership with Federico Beauty
