Graduation Requirements
Class of 2007
A. The total number of credits required of each student shall be two hundred and twenty-five(225)
B. Specific requirements by subject area shall be as follows:
- Economics/Consumer Education - 5 credits (1 semester)
- English - 40 credits (8 semesters) - 10 credits each in English 9, English 10, English 11 and English 12
- Fine Arts - 10 credits (2 semesters)
- Science - 20 credits (4 semesters) - 10 credits in Physical Science and 10 credits in Biological Science
- Mathematics - 20 credits (4 semesters) - including Algebra I as demonstrated by passing the course or equivalent and by passing the End-of-Course assessment
- Physical Education - 20 credits (4 semesters)
- Social Science - 25 credits (5 semesters) - 10 credits U.S. History and Geography, 10 credits World History, culture and geography and 5 credits of United States Government
- Senior Project - A student must complete a Service Learning Project or Senior Project or successfully complete a semester course to prepare and present an acceptable project.
Graduating Class of 2008 and Thereafter
A. The total number of credits required of each student shall be two hundred and twenty-five(225)
B. Specific requirements by subject area shall be as follows:
- Economics/Consumer Education - 5 credits (1 semester)

- Fine Arts - 10 credits (2 semesters)
- Science - 20 credits (4 semesters) - 10 credits in Physical Science and 10 credits in Biological Science
- Mathematics - 20 credits (4 semesters) - including 1) Algebra I as demonstrated by passing the course or equivalent and by passing the End-of-Course assessment and 2) Geometry
- Physical Education - 20 credits (4 semesters)
- Social Science - 35 credits (5 semesters) - 10 credits U.S. History and Geography, 10 credits World History, culture and geography and 5 credits of United States Government, 5 credits of Geography, and 5 credits of Contemporary Global Issues
- Senior Project - A student must complete a Service Learning Project or Senior Project or successfully complete a semester course to prepare and present an acceptable project.
- Technology Literacy - a student must demonstrate proficiency in technology literacy either by passing a challenge examination or passing a course approved by the district for Technology Literacy credit
- World Language - 10 credits (2 semesters)
