Scenes from the Brannan Bay PTA luncheon

Beaches are wonderful on a warm sunny day.
A place where the ocean and soft breezes play.
We hope you relax in these moments of calmness and joy.
Beaches weather many storms before calm is deployed.

Beaches bear the brunt of big crashing waves,
(Much like the kid who misbehaves)
Washed up garbage, wreckage and life in despair
(Much like the kids who feel they belong nowhere.)
Beaches provide food and shelter for life above and below.
Where each rolling wave is a lesson bestowed
A Beach is a place where water forms the shores.
(Like the experiences given to those who enter Brannan’s doors)
High tide or low tide beaches are there.
Changing and growing with the life in its care.

We thank you SBMS for being the ones who teaches
Kids of all kinds, who are washed upon your beaches.
We thank you for protecting them both good and bad.
We thank you for nurturing them both happy and sad.
We thank you for preparing them for the next measure.
You will always be a memorable Brannan Treasure.

By A Thankful Brannan Parent

Students are like a piece of sea glass,
Sharp and pointed when thrown into the sea.
Teachers are like the waves and sand,
Smoothing out the rough edges and tossing it about.

When its edges are less sharp and rounded down,
The weaves wash it up on the beach of the world
Where someone else can pick it up,
And take it on a totally new adventure.

Thank you Sam Brannan teachers and staff
For giving us this chance.
You helped us set sail on the ship of knowledge,
And now we can go anywhere.

The Teachers at Sam Brannan are unbelievable, fantastic, and so many other caring names. They are so helpful to me. I didn’t believe that I would ever meet teachers like this at Sam Brannan.
Mrs. Purcell is an awesome principal. The smile that she puts on her face just makes me come to school every single day. I am going to miss Mrs. Purcell when I go to high school. I will never forget Mrs. Purcell as being my middle school principal.
The teachers are so kind. The teachers act as if we are their own kids. The teachers will do almost anything to help us get a good grade on almost anything that we need. They work hard to keep us focused and understand what they are trying to teach.
So in conclusion, I am going to miss the staff members here and I will always love Mrs. Purcell as being my middle school principal.
I will never forget Sam Brannan and the Staff Members.

Sam Brannan Students Surprise Teachers with Touching and Appreciative Poetry
The entire staff at Sam Brannan was impressed by the dazzling beach themed decorations at Brannan Bay but all agree the most thoughtful touch was the flip flop frames at each table, showcasing student's poetry created for the occasion.

From Adamenko to Zarate
And all of those in between
Sam Brannan has the best teachers
That I have ever seen.

They have helped me learn a lot while here,
I’m taller and smarter, too.
In geometry, history, and language arts
My knowledge greatly grew.

With memories of student events
And lunchtime in the SAR
But best of all, Mrs. Purcell telling us
In the future we will go far.

To the Dedicated, Unselfish, and Zealous Brannan staff,

Another year came and went
I’m glad with these teachers my time was spent.

My middle school experience I’ll always remember
Because of the dedicated staff and faculty members.

The secret is out that we’re a distinguished school
And it is all because collectively – WE RULE!

Some formulas I’ll forget, some knowledge will fade
When I look back, Brannan is where my foundation was laid.

Brannan teachers are devoted and absolutely the best
Together we ventured and finished the quest.

With gratitude and appreciation,

Michelle Huey, 8th grader

What I have seen in my teachers is excellence, understanding, good nature, and most of all caring. My teachers have been great, whether it was during my 7th or 8th grade year here at Sam Brannan. My teachers are the first things that come into my mind when I think of Sam Brannan because of their hard work and dedication that they show every day in our classrooms. Not only do they teach us our subjects, but make things more fun and understanding which I believe make a great school. If this school is distinguished then I believe the first reason is because of our wonderful teachers.

We have great teachers at Sam Brannan Middle School. The teachers are so nice and they make learning so fun that I want to go back over the weekend. They get the lesson plans done on time and let us play fun games like DJ Revolution, and the feelings game. No teacher at any other school is better than the teachers at Sam Brannan. I would like to thank them so much. They are the reason our school is so successful. So, thank you teachers of Sam Brannan for such a great year.

As I walk down the beaches of Brannan Bay
I’m thinking of all the things that I want to say
About my memories of the teachers and staff
Looking back it was such a laugh.
I find it so Cool
That this year we made it as a Distinguished School
Mrs. Purcell on her scooter
Always lending a hand like a tutor
My two years at Brannan have been so much fun
I’m wishing this year would never be done.
Off to high school we must go
Furthering our education and enriching our soul.
With hard work and drive
I am proud to be the class of 05.
