Folklorico Dance Lessons Mondays 3:10 The Folklorico Club is taking enrollment for the Spring session at this time. The cost $25/month for instructor fees, costume and shoes. Weekly practice time is currently Mondays 3:10 to 4:10 in the Multipurpose Room. For more information, please contact Alicia Alvarado: samnlis@hotmail.com or come to practice after school Monday. Thank You! Publication Club The current editors of The Slate, Estelle Manticas and Teresa Zuber, will not be able to lead the Publication Club next year, as neither will have any children at Sutterville. One or two parent volunteers (preferably two) are needed to take over as editors beginning next fall. The club meets one hour after school each week. The students are taught the basics of journalism, including how to conduct an interview, how to write objective articles, editorials, feature stories, and reviews. Most articles are written during club meeting time. The editors decide which articles to include, place them in the template for the newsletter, and arrange for printing. Estelle and Teresa welcome any prospective new editors to attend Pub. Club meetings to help prepare them for taking over the full duties next year. In addition, Estelle put together a notebook that includes many of the lessons. A copy of this notebook will be available to the new editors. If you are interested, please contact either Estelle Manticas at emanticas@sco.ca.gov or Teresa Zuber at thanatoids@Comcast.net. CLARIFICATION: After school ART with Leslie Colby continues Wednesdays 3:10-4:45as usual. The February start date is for the upcoming watercolor course.
