E-Blast
The
Sutterville PTA has launched "Sutterville E-Blast"
an e-mail information service hosted on Yahoo. E-Blast is designed
to keep families, friends, teachers, staff and students informed
about Sutterville's pressing needs, important dates, events, and
successes.
In an effort to stem
the tide of paper pouring out of our children's backpacks, we hope
this service will get information to you in a fast, efficient, and
(above all) timely manner.
Joining this group is

What is the PTA?
The Parent Teacher Association is YOU! Parents, guardians, and teachers
of Sutterville School. The nominal yearly dues provide you with membership
in the California State PTA and adds to our local programs
What does the PTA do?
Our main focus is providing enrichment programs for the students and
parents, as well as, to provide support for the teachers and the office
at Sutterville School.
Here are some ways PTA
enriches your child's life:
- Fun, interesting, and
informative assemblies
- Technology support
- Field trip support
- Site improvement
- Classroom and janitorial
supplies
I don't have time to get
involved.
You can pick the level of involvement that meets your schedule and needs.
It doesn't take much to make a difference. Remember, every hour spent
on a PTA activity, including attending PTA meetings, goes toward your
parent hours.

Fundraising
Imagine Sutterville without . . . art or music, assemblies, a safe playground, healthy trees and gardens. These are just some of the results of our fundraising efforts over the years. Many of us fondly remember when public funds were adequate to provide these “extras” – but now the reality is that PTA must step in to help fund the programs that round out a rich educational experience.
As the key fundraising arm for the school, PTA solicits donations from families, community organizations, and businesses. Sutterville families give in many different ways. Some prefer to receive products (gift wrap and cookie dough) while others choose to write one check (Direct Donation). Many families attend events (Fall Festival, Family Nights), or make pledges (Sutterville Stampede). Many Sutterville families use Q-cards and e-scrip so a percentage of their purchases is rebated to the school—at no cost to them.
With our modest fundraising program and a budget of approximately $45,000, Sutterville’s PTA provides the resources—both money and people power—to bring curriculum boosters to our school that are vital elements of a full, well-rounded education for our children. With the dedication and generosity of our families, teachers, and school staff, our award winning school just keeps getting better. Please consider Sutterville when giving the gifts of your time and money. Your contributions, in any form, are always appreciated.
